The meeting of the Tax Working Group of the Iranian Entrepreneurs' Forum was held on Saturday (10th of Dey month) with the presence of members, representatives of economic drivers, and also Mehdi Movahedi Beknazar, the head of the Center for Regulation of Point of Sale Systems and the Taxpayers system of the National Tax Administration, at the venue of the forum.
According to the Iranian Entrepreneurs' Forum Information Center, Mehdi Movahedi Beknazar, stated regarding the Point of Sale Systems and the Taxpayers System Law: Due to the obligation of the law to facilitate the duties of Taxpayers for the implementation of the Point of Sale Systems and the Taxpayers System, the implementation of this law has been mandatory for legal entities since the first day of Mehr month of the current year, and also for natural persons since the first day of Dey month.
The spokesperson of the National Tax Administration regarding communication channels with this organization said that individuals can contact the National Tax Administration through the telephone number. Therefore, our colleagues in this organization are ready to receive suggestions, criticisms, complaints, and tax-related questions.
He also mentioned commercial bank accounts: It is important to note that any funds deposited into commercial bank accounts through electronic payment gateways, card readers, card-to-card transfers, and similar methods are regarded as sales and serve as the basis for tax calculations. Therefore, Taxpayers should ensure that only amounts resulting from economic and commercial activities are deposited into these accounts.
The spokesperson of the National Tax Administration emphasized that non-commercial bank accounts are also continuously monitored, and if amounts are deposited into them for commercial activities and not declared in tax returns, they will be considered as hidden income and subject to taxes and related penalties.
